If the player has Bean Cakes in their satchel, they can throw it to gather the attention of certain Pokémon. It is potently effective at attracting fish Pokémon, as well as bird Pokémon and their flying ilk, though other types of Pokémon are not exempt from eating it. The following Pokémon will be attracted to Bean Cakes:
