A group of nameless Trainers who participate in the Battle Royal have made minor recurring appearances in Pokémon the Series: Sun & Moon. They first appeared in Pushing the Fiery Envelope! and later made another appearance in A Young Royal Flame Ignites!.
Primarina Trainer
This female Trainer first appeared in Pushing the Fiery Envelope!. She battled the Masked Royal and two other Trainers in a Battle Royal, but lost to the Masked Royal when he used his Incineroar's Z-Move Malicious Moonsault to defeat all of its three opponents.
She appeared again in A Young Royal Flame Ignites!, where she participated in another Battle Royal against the Decidueye Trainer, the Machamp Trainer, and one of the Revengers with his Poliwrath. The outcome of the battle is unknown.

This Trainer's Primarina appeared in Pushing the Fiery Envelope!, where it participated in a Battle Royal against a Machamp, a Decidueye, and the Masked Royal's Incineroar. It attacked Incineroar with Sparkling Aria, but it was eventually defeated when Incineroar used the Z-Move Malicious Moonsault.
It appeared again in A Young Royal Flame Ignites!, where it fought alongside its Trainer in another Battle Royal against Machamp, Decidueye, and a Revengers' Poliwrath.
Primarina's only known move is Sparkling Aria.

Machamp Trainer
