Release information

This card was included as both a Regular and a Full Art card in the Burning Shadows expansion, first released in the Japanese Facing a New Trial subset. The Regular print features artwork by Ken Sugimori, while the Full Art print features artwork by Megumi Mizutani. The Regular print was reprinted as a Mirror Holofoil card in the Japanese GX Battle Boost subset. The Regular print was reprinted again in the Japanese Ultra Sun & Ultra Moon Deck Build Boxes.

Another Mirror Holofoil print, this time a SM-P Promotional card, was awarded to winners of DeckBuildBattle events held at participating Pokémon Card Gym venues across Japan, which featured different formats each month. This print was available at events using the April and May formats. The April format was the Dragon Storm Feature Battle, which allowed only Fire, Water, and Dragon Pokémon from the Sun & Moon Era to be used in decks. At least 6 Pokémon of any 1 type had to be included. Pokémon of non-permitted types that evolved into Fire, Water, or Dragon Pokémon were allowed. Trainer and Energy cards from older Eras that were subsequently reprinted in Sun & Moon Era products were also allowed. Most Pokémon Card Gym venues held DeckBuildBattle events using this format during April 2018, but some were held as late as May 2, 2018. The May format was the Champion Road Feature Battle, which required at least 6 cards from the Champion Road subset to be included in a Standard-regulation deck. All participating Pokémon Card Gym venues held Champion Road Feature Battle events throughout May 2018, with the last events held on May 31.

In Japan, further reprints of the Regular print were included in the GX Ultra Shiny subset and the Tag Team GX Deck Build Box. A new print with different artwork by Hideki Ishikawa was released as a Yellow A Alternate card and was awarded to the top 4 competitors of League Challenges held during the Team Up Season (February-April 2019). These prints come in 4 variants with either a "1st Place", "2nd Place", "3rd Place, or "4th Place" stamp in the bottom left corner of the artwork. This print originated from the Japanese Full Metal Wall subset.

A Full Art SM-P Promotional card with new artwork by kirisAki was available in special packs given out at Extra Battle Day events, held at participating stores across Japan during October and November 2019. Tournaments held as part of these events utilized the Extra Regulation format (equivalent to the Expanded format outside Japan), commemorating the release of the Extra Regulation Box on October 4, 2019. Depending on the venue and places available, people could either register on the day of an event or could enter a lottery via the Players Club website to reserve their place. The application period for events held in October was open between September 17 and 24, 2019, with results announced on September 27, 2019. The application period for events held in November was open between October 11 and 18, 2019, with results announced on October 25, 2019. Each tournament comprised 3 rounds of Swiss between groups of up to 8 people depending on attendance. The ranking of players following the conclusion of the tournament was determined as follows:

  1. Number of match wins;
  2. Difference between number of Prize cards taken and number of Prize cards taken by an opponent over 3 matches;
  3. Number of Prize cards taken over 3 matches;
  4. Head-to-head record;
  5. Rock paper scissors.

The overall winner of a tournament was given a promotional pack containing 1 of 3 random Full Art cards. Losing participants as a result of rock paper scissors were also given a pack as a consolation prize. Additional events were announced for February and March 2020 but these were canceled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
