Sundering Burn (Japanese: やけど相手に技後防御特防↓Defense and Special Defense Reduction On Burned Opponent After Move) is a family of skills in Pokémon Masters EX.
Effect
When the sync pair successfully uses a move against a target that is burned, it will lower the target's Defense, Sp. Def, or both by one stat rank. The skill can range from Sundering Burn 1 to Sundering Burn 9, with higher numbered skills resulting in a higher chance of activation. Sundering Burn 9 will always lower the target's Defense, Sp. Def, or both. Currently, only Sundering Burn 9 is available on scoutable sync pairs. The skill applies to all of the Pokémon's moves—including attack moves, status moves, and buddy moves—but not sync moves or max moves.
