I'm willing to bet that Swirlix is based on cotton candy and a {{wp|poodle}} of some kind, possibly a white standard poodle. It's feet look like dog paws and it even has it's tongue sticking out. And the motions of it in battle attacking kinda make me think it's based on an animal of some sort as well. [[User:Dialgafan1|Dialgafan1]] ([[User talk:Dialgafan1|talk]]) 01:14, 3 August 2013 (UTC)

Here's a part for the anatomy, I hope it will be of use: Swirlix is a mostly, very light pink Pokémon whose main torso resembles a cloud-like cotton candy. It has two feet with tree toes each (as seen in-battle). These feet are of a darker, purpler color. Between these feet (and probably a bit behind them) there is a little tuft of fur that covers the place where the tail attaches. The tail is of the same purple color as the feet and represents the candy cane. In the middle front of the cotton candy-like body there is a face consisting out of two vertically oval, even darker purple eyes. And a small, horizontal oval, same colored, nose. And also a mouth with the upper lip consisting out of three bulbs of cotton candy pointing downwards. Out of this mouth, on the left, there extends a tongue of yet again the same dark purple color. Above the face there is a big (the biggest) bulb of cotton candy pointing up forward. Up behind to the sides of this bulb there are two bulbs of cotton candy with the upper halves being of the same purple color as the feet and tail. These two bulbs need to represent the ears. Ability

I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be スイートベール (Sweet VEIL) and not スイートペール (Sweet PALE), which doesn't make any sense at all.--Lemonade Mouth (talk) 07:46, 11 July 2013 (UTC)

Feet

Do we have any information on why its official artwork does not have feet, but its ingame model does. Is it a forme difference or simply that its feet are hidden in the artwork? Is it worth mentioning in the trivia? Benjabby (talk) 16:12, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

No, it's not worth mentioning in trivia. A lot of Pokemon have features you can only see in one art form but not another. It's likely just Swirlix's positioning in the artwork that makes it look like it has no feet. Crystal Talian 16:42, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
  • I have added a high quality version of the 3D model of Swirlix derived from the screenshot where its "feet" are shown. Could this image be added to the page to showcase its appearance with "feet", much in the same way that the screenshot of the unsheathed Honedge was added to its respective page? Thanks--ShinyPatch (talk) 21:49, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
Thank you, but the pre-release screenshot is more than enough. Ataro (talk) 22:04, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Japanese name in infobox

It says it's Swirlix instead of Peropaffu (or however it's spelled). --It's Funktastic~!話してください 16:17, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Name origin

The English name "Swirlix" is a combination of swirl and a misspelling of licks. FalafelC (talk) 16:38, 12 July 2013 (UTC)

Diet

Swirlix exclusively eats sweets. Me, Hurray! (talk) 13:45, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

Korean name for Swirlix

Its Korean name is 나룸퍼프 Narumpeopeu.

  • 나룸 is a corruption of 낼름낼름 naelleum'naelleum, Korean onomatopoeia for licking
  • 퍼프 peopeu is a transliteration of "puff" -- Nick15 (talk) 19:18, 20 July 2013 (UTC)
