Shiro (Japanese: ジロウ Jirō) is a character of the day who appeared in Two Hits and a Miss. He is a Fighting-type Trainer.
Shiro showed up at Kenzo's dojo one day, stating that he wanted to battle to achieve his goal of becoming a Shihan and opening his own Fighting Dojo in his hometown. Shiro earned himself the nickname of "Dojo Destroyer" after he had claimed victory over 11 fighting dojos, taking their plaques as trophies in the hopes of gaining his future students' respect. He holds a deep respect for the martial arts, and was composed during battle.
Kenzo accepted Shiro's battle challenge, but soon forfeited because of his bad back. Kenzo did not want his granddaughter Chigusa to be the next Shihan, but because he could not battle himself, he allowed her to battle Shiro instead. She eventually succeeded in defeating Shiro, thanks to her training with Ash, by using her Hitmontop. Shiro then stated to Kenzo that he saw why his dojo possessed such an excellent reputation, with Kenzo replying that he was gracious in defeat.

| Hitmonlee is Shiro's only known Pokémon. Shiro used him to challenge Kenzo for the plaque to his dojo, but due to Kenzo's bad condition, Chigusa and her Hitmontop battled against Hitmonlee instead. His long legs and continuous proved diffult for Hitmontop. The match was interrupted however as Team Rocket appeared, trying to steal the Pokémon, and James's Victreebel's Sleep Powder caused Hitmonlee to fall asleep. The match was then postponed. During the rematch, Hitmonlee was unable to predict Hitmontop's movement and was defeated.
Hitmonlee's known moves are Rolling Kick, Double Kick, Jump Kick and High Jump Kick. | ||
