Yanase Berlitz (Japanese: ヤナセ・ベルリッツ Yanase Berlitz), also known as Professor Yanase (Japanese: ヤナセ教授 Professor Yanase), is a recurring character in the Pokémon Adventures manga.
History
Ruby & Sapphire arc
Yanase Berlitz first appears in a flashback. She was one of the scientists involved with the attempt to create an artificial Green Orb to control Rayquaza in order to prevent any future disasters that would come about if Kyogre and Groudon were awakened. When a Salamence broke into the lab and started rampaging, Rayquaza was freed from its cage, and the laboratory was destroyed. Yanase and the other injured scientists were found by Norman, who had fought Rayquaza shortly after it escaped.
Emerald arc
In The Final Battle IV, Yanase decided to abandon the project and threw the last remaining Green Orb core into a lake. Emerald would later come across the core and wore it as an accessory on his head.
Diamond & Pearl arc
