- The appearance of the Blend Master in Lilycove Contest Hall (Emerald only)
- Interviews of the player, either by Gabby & Ty or the interviewers at Contest halls and Battle Tower
- Various stories related to journeys of that player the player has last time mixed records with
- The nicknaming of the player's Pokémon
