Gyara (Japanese: ギャラ Gyara) is one of the Pokémon owned by Red in the Pokémon Special manga.

History

Gyara debuts in the Red, Green & Blue arc in its own round, Gyarados Splashes In!. It attacks its original trainer, Misty, but is recaught by Red, who returns it to her. Later on it is revealed that the drastic change in its attitude was the result of a Team Rocket experiment as is shown in Raging Rhydon.

Later on, Misty traded this Gyarados to Red in exchange for Red's Krabby because it already knew Surf.
