The Family Pokémon Card Game (Japanese: ファミリーポケモンカードゲーム) is a Japanese-exclusive boxed collection of the Pokémon Trading Card Game released on March 15, 2019.
Information
The Family Pokémon Card Game set is marketed at children and their families, introducing them to the basics of the TCG with the inclusion of step-by-step guides and an assortment of new Pokémon cards with relatively simple attacks. Each set includes 3 Standard Decks, focusing on the Mouse Pokémon Raichu, the Flame Pokémon Charizard, and the Genetic Pokémon Mewtwo. Each deck focuses on 2 types and includes Pokémon-GX cards representing each one, 1 of which features the focal Pokémon of that deck. The decks share a collective numbering system and set symbol; each card also features a colored silhouette of the appropriate focal Pokémon to denote which deck it belongs to. The set also comes with 2 battle guides, a beginner's guide, a playmat, 3 color-coded deck bands to secure each deck, a set of 45 damage counters with 3 different damage values, 2 status counters, 2 GX markers, a large cardboard coin, and a card box for storage.
