Trivia

  • There are some shots in the Heracross/Scizor battle that are colored digitally.
  • This is the first time that Template:Type2 Pokémon are officially introduced in the anime, in case none of the previous appearances of Magnemite and Magneton are taken to the count.
  • The book Tough Enough is based on this episode.

Errors

File:Cyndaquil one arm.jpg
Cyndaquil appears with one arm.‎
  • Shingo commands his Scizor to finish the match with False Swipe. However, False Swipe cannot cause a Pokémon to faint.
  • In Who's That Pokémon?, Cyndaquil appears to only have one arm.
  • Team Rocket vocally call out Arbok and Weezing, but Lickitung and Victreebel appear as well.
