Misty getting complimented by Rudy

DanceShipping is the belief of a romantic relationship between Template:Misty and Template:Rudy. Despite the fact that Misty and Rudy only appeared together in one episode Misty Meets Her Match, there were some hints. DanceShipping can also be considered a rival ship to Template:S.

Evidence

Misty's hints

• After several advances from Rudy, Misty agrees to what is essentially an impromptu date with Rudy, leaving Ash and Tracey to themselves.

• During the dance after dinner, Rudy asks Misty to stay with him and his sister on the island. Misty didn't refuse him right away and gives his offer some thought.

• Misty is torn between Rudy and Ash during their gym match, clearly not knowing which boy meant more to her, but roots for Ash in the end.

Rudy's hints

• Rudy develops a case of "love at first sight" with Misty after she saves his sister Mahri and her Seel from the whirlpool.

• Instead of paying attention to his challenger Ash, Rudy puts all his effort in courting and impressing Misty.

• Prior to the fight, Rudy asks Misty if she wanted to stay with him on the island and gives her time to decide. According to the Japanese version, Rudy also asks Misty to marry him.

• In the final round of the gym battle, Rudy dedicates the fight to Misty by saying, "I dedicate this fight to the girl who saved my sister and stole my heart'.
