Sing (Japanese: うたう Sing) is a non-damaging Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I.
Effect
Generation I
Sing puts the target to sleep. It will not affect an target that already has a major status ailment. In Stadium, Sing can't affect an target that has a Substitute.

A soft song that makes Pokémon and humans fall asleep. The melody is famous as Jigglypuff's song.
Pokémon
Jigglypuff. Jigglypuff sings a song into its marker.
- Used by a wild Jigglypuff as a running gag throughout the series.
Swablu. Swablu releases a soothing melody with its mouth. The melody is accompanied by semi-transparent and circular sound waves.
- Used by a wild Swablu in True Blue Swablu to protect itself from May when it was injured.
Kricketune. Kricketune uses its scythes to create sound waves.
- Used by Nando's Kricketune in Dawn's Early Night.
Delcatty. Delcatty sings and colored musical notes comes from its mouth.
- Used by Lila's Delcatty in Battling the Generation Gap!.
