(Japanese: ケンスケ Kensuke) is one of the students at Professor Rowan's summer school and the character of the day in DP090. His Japanese voice actor is 阪口大助 Daisuke Sakaguchi.

Kensuke is a rather brawny kid who seemed to have an attraction to Dawn. He wanted to be her partner for the Template:Type2 assignment of the summer school session. He claimed that he would protect Dawn from the Ghost Pokémon but when the actual assignment began, he revealed that he had a tremendous fear of ghosts. When he and Dawn encountered a wild Gastly, Haunter, and Gengar, Kensuke ran away screaming leaving Dawn to fend for herself.

• Kensuke's attraction to Dawn seems somewhat similar to Sid's attraction to May.
