Quaquaval may be based on a crested duck and a peacock. It may also be based on carnivals such as the Rio Carnival with its movement and tail feathers resembling typical performers.

Name origin

Quaquaval may be a combination of "quack quack" (onomatopeia for duck sounds), aqua, and carnival.

Wanival may be a combination of wave and carnival.
