Strongest Regular Attack?

So, um... Is this move, with a power of 140, the strongest attack that A) doesn't require specific circumstances and B) doesn't have any negative side-effects? For example, Reversal can have a power of 200, but only at low-to-none HP. And Explosion is the almighty trump card at 250 power, but it has a minor drawback that prevents it from being used often. Hyper Beam has a nice 150, but prevents you from moving on the next turn. But Boomburst? Just use it and be happy, like any other regular attack. --GuyPerfect (talk) 18:44, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

I believe you are correct about it being the strongest regular attack. I can't think of anything else that has higher or the same power but without any drawbacks.--NOBODY (talk) 18:51, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

I am sure that'd be actually Bolt Strike and Blue Flare, at BP of 130, since Boomburst hits allies. Uploader (talk) 18:57, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

Ah, good point with the ally thing. I was thinking in terms of single battles, but defeating your own team can certainly be considered a negative side-effect. (-: I notice Blue Flare and Bolt Strike are single-target while Boomburst is multi-target, so I suppose it's six of one and half a dozen of the other in regards to which is better. --GuyPerfect (talk) 20:03, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
