Regarding your edits...
Umm... what are you doing? Could you instead produce productive edits instead? Thanks. ht14 22:25, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Oh...okay...right...the template you talk about on your talk page. In the notice. KantoRules 22:55, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- Umm... where? Oh, point two. That's not the Pokémon template... it's referring to editing a Pokémon's movelist template, etc. ht14 23:03, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Um...do you know the name of the template? That would be helpful. KantoRules 23:04, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- There's a whole bunch.
{{learnlist/levelh}}
,{{learnlist/levelf}}
,{{learnlist/level1}}
-{{learnlist/level5}}
...Yeah. If you want to help, then I suggest you just copy+paste from an already updated page.--Cold (talk) 23:07, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Okay...a page with those would be useful...i'll try those. KantoRules 23:09, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- (Indenting your comments would be nice) Try Bulbasaur's learnsets. They have everything but the breednull templates. You can use Entei's learnsets for those. Just don't forget to change the parameters as necessary.--Cold (talk) 23:12, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- I don't quite understand... KantoRules 23:14, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- OK, I'll try to make this as simple as possible then.
When you begin, you'll see a template called {{pokelinkback}}
. The template works like this: {{pokelinkback|Ndex#|Name|Gen}}
. Some won't have the Gen field, and you have to add it. The Gen field refers to the generation the movelist comes from, so for example, a /Generation IV learnset will have a 4 in the Gen field, while a Generation II learnset will have a 2.
Next, the level-up moves. Replace the {{movelist}}
with {{learnlist/levelh}}
. This one works like this: {{learnlist/levelh|Name|type1|type2|Movelist Gen|Native Gen}}
. Treat type2 like type1 if the Pokémon isn't dual-typed. The Movelist Gen is the same as the Gen parameter in the pokelinkback template, while the native gen is the Generation in which the Pokémon was introduced (eg. Crobat=2, Arbok=1, Armaldo=3).
After, you want to replace all the mlentry
's with learnlist/level
's. Make sure the number next to it matches the generation of the learnset. For example, learnlist/level3
on a Generation II learnset would be incorrect, and should be changed to learnlist/level2
.
At the end, change the {{movelist/note}}
to {{learnlist/levelf}}
. This template follows the same parameters as the levelh one, so if you understand that, you should understand this.
Next, the TM/HM moves. Follow the same instructions as the levelup moves, but use learnlist/tm
, instead of learnlist/level
. Also, remove the [[
and ]]
's from the TM names.
The egg moves are the hardest part. The / for egg moves is breed (so you would be typing learnlist/breed
), but you also have to change the {{p}}
's into {{MSP}}
's. The MSP template works like this: {{MSP|NDex#|Name}}
. "Name" refers to the name of the Pokémon, and "Ndex#" refers to the Pokémon's National Dex number. If a Pokémon doesn't get egg moves, put a {{learnlist/breed#null}}
in between the breedh and breedf's. The # represents the generation of the learnset. (so breed3null for a Gen III learnset, breed2null for a Gen II one, etc.) If there's no "by breeding" section, add one.
The tutor moves are pretty much the same as the level moves, but you want to remove the "yes" parameter on the existing Gen II tutor movelists and the "a" or "b" that's on some Gen IV ones (You'll know what I'm talking about when you see it). The / for this is "tutor". If a Pokémon doesn't get any tutor moves, use a {{learnlist/tutor#null}}
in the same fashion as the breednull one.
The event moves are the exact same as the level up ones. The / is "event". Since there aren't many event 'mons, don't bother with event#null
if they don't get them.
If you still don't understand, don't worry, I'm pretty bad at explaining things.--Cold (talk) 23:43, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- Ok, I get it...I'll probably only be able to clean up some of Gen I and fewer of Gen II...(oh yeah and I know roman numerals GREAT-I=1 V=5 X=10 L=50 C=100 D=500 M=1000) sorry for not getting back to you sooner...and do you know how to turn email alerts off? I tried preferences and it DID'NT WORK.

- What kind of email notifications?--Cold (talk) 23:07, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
- (Sorry for the absence) the notifications saying "someone sent you a message". I really hate those things.
