I archive this page when it gets way too lengthy. |
Let me be...
the first to comment you with your message thing. I have to admit, it's very nice. Very nice indeed. But anyway, could you help convert the Rain Dance page to Platinum standard? I started to, but my computer went all fritzy and its not fixed completely. I asked Politoed, but he asked TTE, and they didn't, and my computer is psycho. Can you help? --PsychicRider☮ 21:03, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I'll do it right now. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 21:04, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- Let me say thanks...THANKS!. lol. --PsychicRider☮ 21:06, 18 September 2008 (UTC)
- It's gonna take me a while to update it, so I'm gonna save a draft of it in a Word document and update it every day. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 21:25, 18 September 2008 (UTC)

LTs
This may have just been a slip, but you forgot to use {{m}}
when linking to Mega Punch on Roman's page. Remember the link templates; they are useful the way turkey is delicious. ((Marton imos)) 00:45, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- Whoops, I was kinda in a hurry when I did that. But I fixed it now. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 00:47, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
- Don't forget to use the preview button to see how things will look before you save them. Also, when you have a problem like that, you can use
(or"left"
, or"right"
) to solve it.
can be called up easily with{{-}}
. --((Marton imos)) 01:22, 21 September 2008 (UTC)- I did use the preview button each time, and it looked correct each time, but that was because I was just editing sections. Next time I should click the edit tab at the top of the page if I want to make a change that could require the preview button. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 01:24, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Capitals
You don't want to argue too heavily about grammar in a franchise where species names get capitalized. It's not like my Dog just got on my bed while Birds are singing outside and there's an annoying Squirrel trying to bore into the side of my house. --((Marton imos)) 21:34, 21 September 2008 (UTC)
The types
If you're going to do that to the Fighting and Normal types, are you going to do it for the other 15 types? --PsychicRider☮ 23:32, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm in the process of doing it to the other types right now. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 23:34, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Types
i believe you have been told before not to do that, so, why are you doing it? -- MAGNEDETH 23:43, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- You don't get how I'm doing it, do you?
- It's redundant to list Normal as one of their types on the Normal-type page, because we already know that they're Normal-type. All we need to do is put "Type 2" and the appropriate type.
- I'd appreciate if you revert your edits, thanks. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 23:45, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- And I said that that's not how we do things. Everyone knows the starters are Grass/Fire/Water, doesn't mean we don't put their types. If we were all about removing redundancy, we'd take out all of the infoboxes. TTEchidna 23:51, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- But this is referring to dual types, not pure types. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 23:53, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- yea, and by removing their dual-type, it makes them look like pure whatever the other type is. remove the ground part of Torterra, and look, its a pure Grass-type. -- MAGNEDETH 23:54, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- You can clearly see at the top of the table thingy it says "Type 1" and "Type 2". --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 23:55, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Two admins, longstanding, knowing what they are doing are telling you you ar wrong.

Seriously. Haven't we had this discussion with other people? Yami something or other? Darkrai breeder? MidnightCeltic 23:58, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
- Like I said before, I've got a plan for the type pages, but leave them for now. We had them without the type the page was on before and that just confused people on pages like Gallade's, saying it was Fighting/Psychic and not Psychic/Fighting. It matters which way it goes. We don't list the single-type Pokémon because there's nothing to differentiate; their primary AND secondary types are the same. But Gallade and Medicham are very different. When you see Medicham is it more like Hitmonlee or more like Alakazam? Same for Gallade. That's where the primary comes in.
- Besides. There's plenty of other things to do than fuss over this when you've been told before this that we should keep them as-is. Do the PtMTs. The data's out there now. TTEchidna 23:59, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Be careful
You made three userspace edits and made it to the final warning (twice, but I neglected the first time you got it). Next warning you get equals a ban from the userspace. MoldyOrange 22:53, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

- A ban is a long time. A block is maybe a week or so. PL12 22:55, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- Not necessarily. A ban would just be from the userspace and it would be however long TTE wants it to be. A bock is the one that would probably be a week... but it is a block from the whole site. MoldyOrange 22:57, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

- There was a several month-long ban on Userspace edits because people were doing way too much work on their userpages, bogging down the server and neglecting the main space. We only got them back in late July, and aren't too anxious to lose them again. --((Marton imos)) 23:32, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- So, the reason for the limit is because making too many edits slows down the server? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 23:34, 29 September 2008 (UTC)
- Yes. Same reason we encourage people to keep few subpages, and have the signature policy to prevent people from using sig templates. --((Marton imos)) 23:47, 29 September 2008 (UTC)

- (indent reset)I know that when I showed up, I was amazed. My userpages on other wikis were always one or two lines about me; here, seemingly everyone has at least a page of usertags, a trainer infobox, and no fewer than two or three teams. And the signatures! I'm glad that the policy forbade images in signatures, or I wouldn't be able to concentrate on conversations long enough to know what was going on.
- Sigh... sorry, I know this is off-topic. Just felt like ranting. --((Marton imos)) 00:03, 30 September 2008 (UTC)

Well, you might say the same about the earthquake page. Why don't you say the same about the fact that Onix and Steelix aren't next to each other? You should comment on that, because that's one of the reason why I did what I did. TheBlazikenMaster 09:31, 1 October 2008 (UTC)
Reply of removing Iron Defense
Since I check about some website such as Serebii, the evolution of some pokemon such as Beautifly can't learn Iron Defense by move tutor, but their pre-evolution can. Since I didn't have this game, I think it should be remove first until someone can have the evidence that they can learn it from the move tutor. Chungkingpun 01:42, 2 October 2008 (UTC)

I need help
Guys, I recently added a Magcargo to my Pokémon Diamond team. I currently have Heat Wave as its Template:Type2 move, since it's from my XD version. I've already decided most of its moveset, but I need help on one thing: Should I change Heat Wave to Flamethrower or leave Heat Wave there? Please vote below by just putting your user name. Remember to number your votes by putting the # sign before your signature. No additional comments are needed. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 20:45, 3 October 2008 (UTC)

- 1 - Yes, they do count. You still made the edits, just cause the pages were deleted, doesn't mean they didn't happen.
- 2 - No, this is Bulbapedia, a Pokémon Encyclopedia. Not a place to ask opinions on what moves you should give to your Pokémon. - Kogoro | Talk to me | 22:41, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
- But only admins can see them, so why should they count? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 01:25, 4 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry for the slow reply, I feel they should still count since they still affect the servers (Possibly not as severely as ones that aren't removed, I'm sadly not an expert when it comes to servers and such, though I plan to learn about it) However, since two sysops have said that they don't count, I will apologize for seeming like a jerk, I wasn't trying to get you in trouble, but as the few messages about the userspace editing limit has been worded, it seemed like you had gone over the limit despite the pages being deleted. - Thanks. What do you mean by the second sentence? tc26 01:22, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Mostly just permission to change head images, but it applies here as well. I'm glad people are actually reading the Message from the Editor. MoldyOrange 01:24, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- But the other images of Mars and Jupiter only have Mars and Jupiter in them. Tc26's also have Galatic Grunts in both of them. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 01:28, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- I like Tc26's better. They are more than just a face. Plus the Previous image of Jupiter makes her look demented and cross-eyed. Tc26's image is much more respectful towards the character, and it also shows the rank difference in the the characters and the grunts. MoldyOrange 01:32, 5 October 2008 (UTC)

- But the other images of Mars and Jupiter only have Mars and Jupiter in them. Tc26's also have Galatic Grunts in both of them. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 01:28, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Mostly just permission to change head images, but it applies here as well. I'm glad people are actually reading the Message from the Editor. MoldyOrange 01:24, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks. What do you mean by the second sentence? tc26 01:22, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- We aren't getting in on this again. Tc26 is one of the few people who have permission. He is allowed to change images, and I actually prefer the ones with their entire body instead of just part of their body. MoldyOrange 01:21, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Okay then. Even though I like the other images better.
Also, Moldy orange, when you voted, you were supposed to put your signature, not simply your user name. Can you please fix that? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 01:38, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Just putting the username instead of the signature makes it look neater, unless you are saying that I didn't use a timestamp, which I really didn't see a point to. MoldyOrange 01:40, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 01:41, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Spacing.
When you are editting, could you please leave spaces between the end of a section and the start of a new one? So when there is a new header, can you leave a gap between it and the previous paragraph? It helps space things out so that the next edittor can have an easier job. Plus, it looks tidier "back stage". TESHIGIGAS 17:41, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, I will. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 17:46, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Bad Luck
It sounds like you're following Wikipedia guidelines. we are not Wikipedia. i don't think it needs to be in the main section as it doesn't reflect anything about the ability itself. what it does, who learns it, etc. im going to revert it, but im going to talk it over with another admin, see what they say. we already had one edit war today, i don't want another. -- MAGNEDETH 18:04, 5 October 2008 (UTC)
Reply of superpower
I think the breeding part should includ Marill and Corphish, is to mentioned people about that: not only move tutor, they can also learn it from breeding, since there pokemon page breeding part have mentioned they can learn Superpower from breeding. I think these two should also add to the move breeding list, or it may have conflict between the pokemon page and the move page -- Chungkingpun 01:46, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, but it seems pretty redundant to list them as being able to learn the move through breeding when they have a much quicker way to learn it. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 01:56, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

I'm blocking you (the sockpuppet) now, and, in fact, I plan to nail your previous account as soon as TTE grants my request for checkuser powers and I compare your IP address with other recently-blocked users. Guys, if you wanna have this discussion, don't do it on my talk page, 'kay? I keep getting the new messages bar every 5 seconds and it's getting annoying. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 21:07, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- Then turn off notification that you have a new message. An issue has come about here and it needs dealt with . -Sketchies 21:09, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- How do I turn it off? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 21:11, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- Doesn't matter anymore, the sockpuppet's been blocked and the issue is pretty much over. --electAbuzzzz 21:12, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- But, just for future reference, how do I turn off the message bar? --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 21:14, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- I was referring to e-mail notification. You can't turn the bar off. -Sketchies 21:45, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- Oh. Well, I don't have the e-mail notifaication turned on anyway. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 21:55, 6 October 2008 (UTC)

Re: Photoshop
It's simple.
1. First, you must have your image opened on photoshop (obviosuly).
2. Then, look at you layers section (it should be on the lower right side of the screen. There, it would display the picture and it would either say "Layer 0" or "Background". Most of the time, it would say background. If it does, then double click it and a window should pop up. Just hit "Ok".
3. Then, select the paint bucket tool. Then, right under the toolbar (ie. File, Edit, Tools,etc...), you will see some settings. Change them to the following:
- Mode: Clear
- Opacity: 100%
- Tolerance: 0
- Anit-alias: uncheck
- Contiguous: check
- All layers: check
4. Now you just have to click on the spots that you want to be clear, and all spots that are touching the spot you clicked AND are the same color will be clear.
And it's that simple. It seems hard at first, but after a while, it would only take a couple seconds. Trust me.--☆Tavisource 22:58, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- My version of Photoshop doesn't have any of those tools. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 23:02, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, it does...all photoshops has it, you probably just don't have the tool box opened. Go to "Windows" and check Tools, effects, layers, pallete bin, and project bin. And plus, you must follow the steps in order for the settings to show up. - unsigned comment from Tavisource (talk • contribs)
- I went to "Window", and "Effects", "Pallete Bin" and "Project bin" weren't there. --Baby G (talk to me) (see my edits) 23:12, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry, then...I don't know what to tell ya...can't help...try other programs.--☆Tavisource 23:14, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
