Spidops (Japanese: ワナイダー Wanaidā) is a Bug-type Pokémon introduced in Generation IX.
It evolves from Tarountula starting at level 15.
Biology
Spidops is the only known Pokémon capable of learning the move Silk Trap.
Trivia
Origin
Spidops may be based on an ogre-faced spider, who are known to hold their legs together in pairs and cast nets.
Name origin
Spidops may be a combination of the words spider and chops.
Wanaida may be a comination of the words 罠 wana (trap) and スパイダ supaida (spider).
