Mimikins (Japanese: ミミたん Mimi-tan) is a Shiny Mimikyu owned by Acerola in the anime. Unlike most Ghost-types, Mimikins is the ghost of a deceased Mimikyu. This allows it to float and pass through solid objects. It is often seen outside of its Poké Ball.
History
Mimikins debuted in Why Not Give Me a Z-Ring Sometime?, where it watched Acerola as she read a story to Piko and Nene. Mimikins later watched as Acerola was taken by a Gengar nicknamed Greedy Rapooh. It later saved Acerola from the Gengar.
In Securing the Future!, Mimikins joined the rest of Alola in showering Necrozma with light so it could return to its true form.
In A Haunted House for Everyone!, Mimikins accompanied Acerola to Melemele Island and visited the Pokémon School. Ash and his classmates were turning it into a haunted house for Harper and Sarah, but Mimikins' presence attracted several other Ghost-type Pokémon.
Personality and characteristics
Mimikins has a strong bond with its Trainer. This is evident from the way that Mimikins remains outside of its Poké Ball and its attempt to rescue Acerola from Gengar during Why Not Give Me a Z-Ring Sometime?. Acerola even jumped off of Gengar to try and save it when it fell to the ground.
