Then what happens to the trunk?
"Exeggutor originally came from the tropics. Its heads steadily grow larger from exposure to strong sunlight. It is said that when the heads fall off, they group together to form Exeggcute."
...so what does the trunk become if all the heads fall off? I wonder, could it survive without the heads? This is technically a form of devolving like if a Shellder detahces from a Slowpoke.--JP585 22:05, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
Heads
Exactly how many heads does it Exeggutor have? --Theryguy512 11:52, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
I've count sometimes 7 but mostly 6 and once in the manga one had 5 and some had 4. sooo... either 7,6,5,or 4 sometimes (I'm sorry if I confuse) CrystalLucario 12:35, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
Faves?
Should it be noted that one of the creators has named this his fave Pokemon (granted, it was before Generation II)? -- Chris 05:14, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- Um, do you have any proof??? --Theryguy512 11:52, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- I wish I could find it. It was listed as part of an interview in Nintendo Power long ago. He stated that his Exeggutor was his favorite and was at level 84. I'll poke around some more. -- Chris 22:52, 25 February 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know how long it's been a part of the article, but apparently someone has already figured out that it was Tsunekaz Ishihara I was speaking of. Would the exact quote from the Nintendo Power issues I was speaking of be a useful addition to the article? -- Bug Catcher Jam (talk) 07:56, 12 July 2012 (UTC)

Head facing player
Should it be noted that, up until Gen. 4, Exeggutor, like Mawile, is; in a sense; facing the player? - unsigned comment from ShinyPikachu (talk • contribs)
Barrage
I'm pretty sure Chancey can use Barrage, also any Pokemon that uses Metronome can use it.Yami 21:43, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- Chansey has Egg bomb. Not barrageDCM
Trivia about Melvin's Exeggutor
The trivia section claims this:
- "While Melvin's Exeggutor waves goodbye to Ash and his friends at the end of The March of the Exeggutor Squad, additional heads can be seen in the back; this has, to date, appeared in no other media"
This is obviously bull, as ALL the Exeggutor throughout the episode are depicted as having additional heads, this is also the case for the Exeggutor in the episodes Round One Begin! & very briefly in Misty Meets Her Match. The back sprites for Gen I - III also show a fourth head.
Someone really needs to remove this from the trivia section, I would do it if this wasnt my first ever post... - unsigned comment from Vuvuzela2010 (talk • contribs)
name origin
I always thought it was supposed to be a play on "eggs are cuter". Exeggutor never seemed like a guy who would be an executor to me... 0danmaster0 (talk) 17:22, 27 June 2013 (UTC)
- The pronunciation of Exeggutor - from the Official Pokémon Handbook Eggs-EGG-You-Tor - is very similar to executor, as opposed to "eggs are cuter". Also, executor does not just mean someone who carries out a death sentence, it means someone who carries out any action, like an executor of a will. Exeggcute may come from play on words of "Eggs are cute", and as an evolved form, the name has been expanded to sound similar, and to have another play on words. Xolotl (talk) 15:55, 1 July 2013 (UTC)
- "Eggs are cute"/"eggs are cuter" are not famous/common/well-known phrases. Why would they be named after a random string of words? (Not to mention that they are literally "execute" and "executor" with the word "egg" added in the middle, while you'd have to do some enormous stylistic misspelling to transform those phrases into the Pokemon names.) Japanese Jungle (TCG) booster box and the Alola Form
In the trivia it says "The artwork for the Japanese Jungle (TCG) booster box depicts Exeggutor with an elongated body and no visible legs." In Tirtouga's Trivia section it says "Tirtouga has a striking resemblance to an unreleased Pokémon which was originally planned to be released in Generation II." Like in Tirtouga's trivia section could it be mentioned that Exeggutor's Alola Form has striking resemblance to the Exeggutor in the Japanese Jungle (TCG) booster box? Suggesting addition to trivia
The trivia section needs to mention this about the Alolan variation of Exeggutor:
- The Alolan regional variant of Exeggutor is the tallest Grass-type Pokémon as well as the tallest Dragon-type Pokémon. It is also the heaviest Grass-type Pokémon.

- Trivia like this will not be added until all new Pokemon and forms are released. Crystal Talian 09:12, 7 August 2016 (UTC)
Can't edit the page atm?
So, I kinda found out some interesting things about its origin and wanted to add it in but it seems we can't right now huh. Guess you're waiting till they finish releasing everything.
I wanted to explain why the tree chosen was a coconut palm tree and that's because the word "coco", given to the fruit by the Portuguese and Spanish, was a childish term to "grinning face" and "head". Those terms were based on a monster from their folklore, something like the Jack o' Lantern/Bogeyman. And the Dragon type on the Alolan Form is probably a reference to the "Coca", a dragon that fights Saint George and seems to be related to the "Coco" (the monster previously cited). The Alolan Form might as well be a reference to the Dracaena, a genus that has some domestic "palms". Oh, and original one is clearly also based on a Hura crepitans since it learns so many 'explosive' moves like Egg Bomb, Explosion and Barrage.
So, that's it. I'd like to hear what you guys think 'bout it and I wonder if you could add it since it seems like we can't right now.
