Hello, just to let you know, you cannot sign and unsigned comment as it gives off the wrong timestamp. And you also cannot edit a comment you've already made, as there is really no point to it. Thank you for reading.--<span style="color:#025DA6">F</span><span style="color:#5A96C5">orce</span><span style="color:#EA1A3E">F</span><span style="color:#F16A81">ire</span> 03:18, 3 May 2014 (UTC)

Ok, gotcha on the not signing comments after they're made. I just wanted to correct the mistake I made before I knew to sign my comments. As for not editing a comment, I thought the way I expressed myself when I made the comment could be done in a more professional and dignified manner, but I'll try to remember that too. Thanks for the info. Austin HM02 (talk) 03:31, 3 May 2014 (UTC)

Welcome to Bulbapedia, Austin HM02!

By creating your account you are now able to edit pages, join discussions, and expand the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia. Before you jump in, here are some ground rules:

 • Be nice to everyone. It's in the code of conduct.
 • Make good edits. Preview them before you save to make sure they're perfect the first time around.
 • Use wikicode and link templates when adding content to a page.
 • Use proper grammar and spelling, and read the manual of style.
 • You can't create a userpage until you've added to the encyclopedia. It's a privilege. See the userspace policy.
 • Use talk pages to resolve editing disputes. Don't "edit war," or constantly re-edit/undo the same thing on a page.
 • If you have a question about something, be proactive. Take a look at our FAQ. If you're still stuck, ask for help. The staff won't bite.
 • Sign all talk page posts with four tildes (~~~~). This will turn into your name and the time you wrote the comment.
 • For more handy links, see the welcome portal.
Thank you, and have a good time editing here!

Your edits

I've noticed that a good portion of your edits have been rolled back; half resulted in a page protection, and I rolled back a section removal. Please review the Manual of Style, located in the box above. Additionally, if you disagree with someone regarding an edit they made (or rolled back), don't just make the edit again. That is how issues arise. --TruePikachu (talk) 00:06, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

The information was irrelevant, and not useful to the page. I corrected it. I wasn't trying to edit war, but people were adding information under "Origin" on certain Pokémon pages that was painfully unrelated.- unsigned comment from Austin HM02 (talkcontribs)

Again, you're making edits that don't make sense. First, you messed up Meloetta's entry with no reason. Also, Diggersby and Deerling still have a unique type combination, while Noibat/vern don't, since as the page says, the Flying/Dragon type is considered the same as the Dragon/Flying type. If you continue making unproductive edits, you may be blocked.--Den Zen 22:59, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

I know, I seen that after I messed it up. I'm really, really sorry, I'll be much more careful from now on! Hopefully I fixed everything I messed up. I will definitely pay much more attention to my edits so I don't make such stupid mistakes. --Austin HM02 (talk) 23:23, 24 March 2014 (UTC)Austin HM02

The Preview Button

Instead of editing a page several times in a row, try using the preview button to make sure your edit looks the way you want it to. It's right next to the Save Page button. Please try it out, so as not to clog up the Recent Changes. Also, if you want to edit multiple sections of the page, make sure that you click "edit this page" at the top of the page rather than editing it by section. Thanks! --Berrenta (talk) 22:50, 24 March 2014 (UTC)

Thanks!! So sorry about that, I just meant to edit Noibat and Noivern, but I accidentally edited out Meloetta and panicked! -Austin HM02

Ok, I think I fixed everything I messed up now. Sorry about that, I'll be much more careful from now on.

Referring to retconned things

Sorry to not have had enough space to explain myself fully in my edit summary. I can't find our official policy on this, but I know very well from experience that things that have been retconned use their old spelling or type when referring to times when that spelling or type was correct. For example, old learnsets like Bulbasaur (Pokémon)/Generation I learnset use the old spellings of moves like SolarBeam, and anime Pokémon and moves* that have had their types changed use the old type when referring to pre-retcon occurrences. If you still don't believe me, I can fish up more examples — they're all over the wiki. Pumpkinking0192 (talk) 19:57, 30 April 2014 (UTC)

Name retcons are an exempt from the anime. Unless it was specifically spelled that way in the past (as in by script or a visual spelling in the show), it uses the new spelling no matter what. I feel the same way about move types, (with the exception of Bite; so I'll use Sand Attack as an example) unless it was specifically mentioned to be a normal type in the past, it is a ground type move on all occasion. But the majority of the staff disagrees on the last point, so I just let it slide.--ForceFire 02:42, 1 May 2014 (UTC)

Unsigned and editing comments

Hello, just to let you know, you cannot sign and unsigned comment as it gives off the wrong timestamp. And you also cannot edit a comment you've already made, as there is really no point to it. Thank you for reading.--ForceFire 03:18, 3 May 2014 (UTC)|
