Virbank City in the anime
Virbank City first appeared in the anime when Ash and his friends arrive at the city port in An Epic Defense Force!. The city has an existing movie studio and a recently built amusement park. The group meets Luke who is visiting to participate in a movie contest. After being persuaded by Cilan, the gang decided to help Luke in the making of his film.
In Rocking the Virbank Gym! (Part 1) and Rocking the Virbank Gym! (Part 2), Ash and his friends arrived at an underground music club while looking for the Virbank Gym. There, he battled Gym Leader Roxie for his eighth gym badge in Unova.
In All for the Love of Meloetta!, Ash and his friends having found out that the Unova League begins in three months, decided to go eat Virbank City's famous "Beartic Ice Cream" at Cilan's suggestion. Arriving at the ice cream stand, they meet up with the Sinnoh League Champion, Cynthia. Cynthia then invited them to go to East Unova with her.
Trivia
- Virbank's Japanese motto is タチワキは 立ちあがる 水蒸気.
