The PPP Promotional cards are a series of Japanese promotional cards released exclusively through the Pokémon Players Club in the same fashion as the PLAY Promotional cards. By attending weekly sessions, much like the Pokémon League outside of Japan, members could earn experience points (EXP) via several actions (see below) and work towards earning promotional cards. Each of these cards have a PPP suffix and the Pokémon Players Club logo as an expansion symbol.

The EXP structure (see below) was updated from the one introduced in 2005, making it considerably easier to attain the necessary EXP to earn prizes. Several of the cards available have held items, and all were released in the Majestic Dawn expansion when printed in English. The Pokémon Players Club was replaced by the Pokémon Daisuki Club in April 2008, the EXP system replaced by the similar Action Point system (ACP).
