Sludge (Japanese: ヘドロこうげき Sludge Beam) is a Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation I that deals a small amount of damage.
Effect
Generation I
Sludge does damage and has a 29.7% chance of poisoning the opponent. Sludge cannot poison an opponent that has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.
Generation II and on
Same as Generation I, though with a 30% chance of poisoning non-Template:Type2s instead.
