Ash was seen riding on a Lapras. I know it wasn't until next season but this could be referring to Ash's temporary capture of Lapras. So I think we should list the Lapras as (Ash's). Who knows how much they've planned? For all we know they could have planned Palpitoad's capture since the before the first episode. (lol) [[User:Djulienr|Djulienr]] 21:41, 24 May 2011 (UTC) |

Should information about Blue/Green from the manga appearing in the opening be mentioned? According to Wikipedia: "It is interesting to note that she [Green], Red, and Blue appeared in the original American Red and Blue pamphlets with their starter pokemon (she had her Squirtle, Red his Bulbasaur, and Blue his Charmander) but few knew who she was and she had her back to the reader. Also, in the beginning of the first anime series Pikachu runs between her legs (again, to the confusion of American viewers-she was never seen in the anime and was not explained, many thought she was just a Lass.)" Matkin22
No! Bulbapedia isn't reliable source on the Point of Pokemon! It's full of fake informations and hopeless speculations! I'll never believe that she's Blue from PokeSpe! Look at her and Look at Blue! They don't ever look alike! I believe in popular speculation that she's plain Lass (miniskirt, cute clothing and really Lass-ish design) I have an early Sugimori Art of Lass and I also have the early Sugimori Art of Red, Green and Blue with their Starters so I know it better. Blue is seen only from behind but she has completely different hair and black clothes. So, we can be sure that she's not Blue. She's likely to be Lass. And a small Trivia. She is actually seen in anime. She's got a few cameos in few episodes in Pokemon Center and other crowded places (like the not-so-famous "Boy in Hat"). - Maxim
Lyrics source
Okay, I don't know what's Leo's lyrics database, but it's not the source. I wrote it down myself. So stop adding it. Thanx.--ElectAbuzzzz 19:04, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Have these lyrics been checked with an official source? I thought it was "teach Pokémon to understand", not "each Pokémon to understand"... maybe I'm just tired, though. --Pie ~♪♫ 19:11, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, not checked, but this one I'm 100% certain about. It says SEARCHING far and wide EACH pokemon. You know, like "Gotta catch 'em all"? Teach makes no sense.--ElectAbuzzzz 19:28, 2 April 2007 (UTC)
- I hear it as "Teach Pokémon to understand the power that's inside." which makes a lot more sense to me than "Each Pokémon to understand the power that's inside." --MoonHitler 21:00, 12 July 2010 (UTC)
Dragonforce?
Where did the idea of Dragonforce playing the theme song come from? 0_0 --Ricco 02:36, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
Other Language Lyrics
I was wondering if there was somewhere to post the lyrics for the song in other languages? I have the lyrics for the Arabic dub theme song, along with a YouTube link. Is there anywhere on the site to post lyrics in other languages? -- Zedd 18:49, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
- No, we don't include lyrics other than in Japanese and English. If enough people disagree with this, though, maybe we'll bring the issue to a vote. --electAbuzzzz 19:37, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
Video?
With the use of Template:YouTubeVid, It is now possible to play YouTube videos embedded onto pages. if a admin wont mind, I would be glad to add these videos to their respectful pages. ShinyPikachu 01:37, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
- Several levels of totally-not-legal which would get us into TRUBL. No. TTEchidna 01:44, 31 May 2010 (UTC)
Error
This article includes a bit on Meowth's missing fang in the opening. Considering that scene was used in the Mezase Pokemon Master opening, shouldn't that bit of trivia go there instead of here? Mudkipchan 16:15, 5 June 2010 (UTC)
- Maybe a head-on comparison should be in order. If we look at around 0:40-0:41 in this video of the US opening, we see the fang missing as Meowth jumps into the frame. The comparable scene from the Japanese opening is in this video from 0:45-0:46; however, the "missing fang" is obscured by the onscreen lyrics. (The visuals are what's important here; the needless censor bleeps in the first video and what happens when you click the soccer ball in the second are not important in the least.)
- My 2¢: No, the trivia should not be mentioned on the Japanese page instead of the English one. In addition to, maybe, but definitely not instead of. Yes, I do believe the "missing fang" was there in the original Japanese iteration (UPDATE 23:07, 4 July 2010 (UTC): Caught the missing fang in a lyricless Chinese sequence using the uncut Japanese video footage), but it's actually more noticable in the US opening because of the lack of onscreen lyrics. --Shiningpikablu252 17:33, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
Incorrect Lyrics?
I have listened to this song and the part after "You teach me and I'll teach you" sounds a lot to me like "All day long" not "Pokémon". Does anyone else think that? Buddy999 15:58, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
- No. It's not. --electAbuzzzz 19:31, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
"Each" or "Teach"
I personally believe the line is "Teach Pokémon to understand the power that's inside." rather than "Searching far and wide each Pokémon to understand" then randomly saying "The power that's inside." Harry Blue5 00:37, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- I also think it's teach Pokémon I'll look in to it Pokemaster97 00:38, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- I have an old chapter book that has the Pokémon Theme lyrics in the front, and it says "each Pokémon". --ZestyCactus 00:41, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- Just listened to the theme song like 5 times it's EACH pokémon we'll leave the lyrics the same. Yay problem solved! Pokemaster97 00:43, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- (edit conflict) Is Tracey West anything more than a fan who has the rights to write Poké novelisations? I suppose its technically the closest thing we have to an official source, though. Harry Blue5 00:47, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- The way I see it, it does make sense, it just isn't worded particularly well. I will travel. . . Searching far and wide [for] Each Pokémon [in order] to understand . . . or similar. Probably the poor wording was required to make it fit the tune and/or beat of the song. Werdnae (talk) 00:51, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- I thought Ash already knew about "the power that's inside". His fault that he was an idiot. Pikachu started off as a jerk, Charizard was also mean, so teaching them it would make more sense. Harry Blue5 00:54, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- It's been proven that its EACH. Your not making any sence. Yeah don't worry I'll ask the writers next time I go to Japan... Pokemaster97 00:58, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- The only other source I can think of is the lyrics booklet to the CD version of Pokémon 2.B.A. Master, but alas, the cassette version has no lyrics and I bought my CD used so it has no booklet. So unless someone has the booklet and it contradicts my book, we'll stick with "each". It's the only printed source we have. --ZestyCactus 01:01, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
- For the record, the word is 'sense' and the Japanese writers have little control over what the dub's lyrics are. Anyway, this discussion seems to be over, since there's that book. So unless anyone has any sources to say otherwise, then we'll just have to keep it as 'each'. Harry Blue5 01:06, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
