Charmander's Boring, Boring Day (Japanese: ヒトカゲくんのたいくつな１日 Hitokage's Boring Day) is the 24th chapter of the Magical Pokémon Journey manga.

Plot

Bored on a rainy day, Charmander invites over Pikachu, Clefairy, Jigglypuff, Eevee, and Bulbasaur, claiming that Peanut is the one who needs to be entertained. They each bring toys, with Pikachu and Clefairy carrying hacky sacks. Both try to demonstrate how to juggle them, but are unable to. Peanut then offers to try, and the Pokémon are impressed with his skill, except for a particularly unamused Charmander who demands to do something else.

Eevee then takes out a card game where the goal is to find a pair of matching cards. While the Pokémon all struggle with it, Clefairy is able to easily win, to everyone's surprise. At the end of the game, everyone adds their scores together, and it is revealed that Pikachu and Charmander were the only ones unable to find a single pair. Frustrated, Charmander blows fire into the area, accidentally singeing Peanut.

Jigglypuff suggests their next activity should be cooking, to everyone's horror. When Charmander complains, Jigglypuff inflates itself to take up nearly the entire space in the room. Peanut nervously convinces it that there are no ingredients in the house, which succeeds in calming it down.

Seeing that most of the group are boys, Charmander decides that they should wrestle, stating that is what boys always do when they get together. He then charges toward Pikachu and Eevee, but his tail accidentally knocks over a vase full of water on the bedside table. When Peanut sees the water pouring toward Charmander's tail, he dives in its way, getting hit in the head by the falling vase. As Peanut catches his breath, Bulbasaur asks to wrestle with Charmander. Assuming that Bulbasaur is weak due to her gender, Charmander refuses to fight, prompting her to grab him with her vines and swing him into the air. She then blasts him with Razor Leaf and Charmander jumps up to dodge, leading the attack to hit Peanut instead.

Charmander then blasts fire at Bulbasaur, but she dodges. Once again, Peanut is hit in the crossfire. Bulbasaur attempts to use Vine Whip on Charmander, but he catches her vine and swings her upward. Righting herself in the air and landing on her feet, Bulbasaur tells Charmander that both of them should start fighting without holding anything back. He compliments her skill, and before they can continue, the other Pokémon frantically try to shut down the battle. When Charmander protests, Clefairy points to Peanut, who is revealed to be lying unconscious in one of Bulbasaur's vines.

Later that night, the guests leave covered in bruises and cuts, except for Bulbasaur and Jigglypuff, who tell Charmander they had a great time. Charmander then returns to the bedroom, where he worriedly puts bandages on Peanut. Despite everything he endured, Peanut thanks Charmander for the exciting day.
