J's Salamence (Japanese: Jのボーマンダ J's Bohmander) is one of the Pokémon owned by Pokémon Hunter J as well as her most used. It is voiced by 小西克幸 Katsuyuki Konishi.
Salamence made its debut in Mutiny in the Bounty!; the same episode as its Trainer. It many serves as J's mode of transportation while she is not in her airbase. It is also frequently used in battle.
J tends to use Salamence for destruction purposes as well. In Pokémon Ranger and the Kidnapped Riolu!, she commanded it to destroy a forest with its Flamethrower to smoke out the Riolu she wanted to capture. Later, in DP129, J used its Hyper Beam to knock down the rock, ice, and steel pillars inside the Snowpoint Temple in order to awaken Regigigas
Salamence is also able to hold its own in battle against legendary Pokémon such as Regigigas.
