Template documentation
Note: portions of the template sample may not be visible without values provided.

This template displays a menu sprite for a Pokémon, and clicking that sprite will go to the Pokémon's species page.

The menu sprite grabbed will be from Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness.

Template fields

  • field 1 (natdex number) - The Pokémon's National Pokédex number. This should be in a 3-digit format.
    • For alternate forms, append a short signifier right after the natdex number. This applies mainly to Unown, Lugia, and Deoxys - for example K for Unown K, S for Shadow Lugia, and A for Deoxys Attack Forme.
    • For exclamation point and question mark Unown, use EX and QU respectively.
    • For shininess, use _s.
    • If unsure, check these archive categories for all valid file names: Category:XD menu sprites, Category:XD Shiny menu sprites. File names are usually in the format Menu XD (natdex)(form).png.
  • field 2 (Pokémon name) - The name of the Pokémon, to allow linking to its species page.
  • field 3 (hover text disambiguator) (optional) - Text to be displayed when hovering over the image. For example: inputting "M02" on an icon of Articuno will make the hover text say "Articuno (M02)". However, the link will still go to Articuno's species page.
  • size - The display size of the icon. Defaults to 42px.
