This card was included in the Burning Shadows expansion with artwork by Kagemaru Himeno, first released in the Japanese To Have Seen the Battle Rainbow expansion. It was reprinted as one of the Japanese SM-P Promotional cards with new artwork by Masakazu Fukuda, made available in the Charmander Special Set from June 16, 2017, which could be purchased at Pokémon Centers, Pokémon Stores, and other participating store chains, including: 7-Eleven, Circle K Sunkus, Daily Yamazaki, FamilyMart, Ministop, and Lawson. The Burning Shadows print was reprinted in Japan as another SM-P Promotional card, available as part of the Midsummer's Pika Pika Alola Festival, which ran from July 22 to September 3, 2017. Customers at participating Pokémon Centers (including the Pokémon Center Online) and Pokémon Stores who purchased five booster packs in one transaction were given 1 of 6 possible promotional cards.
