Glalie (Japanese: オニゴーリ Onigohri) was the sixth Pokémon caught by Ash during his travels through Hoenn. Its voice actress in Japanese is Miyako Ito (it has not yet appeared in the English version).
Ash caught Snorunt in the episode Catch Snorunt!. At a Pokémon Center, Snorunt stole Ash's badge case, causing him to chase after it into a blizzard. Seeing that Ash was in danger after knocking his head on a rock, Snorunt built an igloo around him and gave him an apple to eat. Later, Ash saved Snorunt from Team Rocket, and after agreeing to battle it, Ash captured Snorunt with the help of Pikachu.
After learning Ice Beam as a result of extensive training, Snorunt evolved into Glalie while May was participating in the Grand Festival.
