Smog (Japanese: スモッグ Smog) is a damage-dealing Poison-type move introduced in Generation I.

Effect
Generations I-II
Smog inflicts damage and has a 39.8% chance of poisoning the target. It has a base power of 20 and a 70% accuracy rate.
Smog can't poison a target that has a Substitute, already has a major status ailment, or is a Poison-type.
Generation III and on
Same as before, but with a 40% chance of poisoning the target.

Pokémon
Koffing. A thick fog pours out of the holes covering Koffing's body.
- Used by James's Koffing from Pokémon Emergency to Dig Those Diglett. Debut.
Weezing. A thick fog pours out of the holes covering Weezing's body.
- Used by James's Weezing from Dig Those Diglett to ???.
- Used by Pokémon League entrance exam instructor's Weezing under the control of Ash in The Ultimate Test.
Magmortar. Magmortar sprays thick, gray smoke out ouf its mouth.
- Used by Paul's Magmortar in DP132.

Trivia
- Despite it being a Poison-type move, Koffing and Weezing are the only Poison-type Pokémon that can learn Smog naturally, with Gulpin and Stunky learning it through breeding.
