Pokémon Battle Chess BW Version
In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, the main characters were expanded to include Pikachu, Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott. The gameplay was also designed so that players could take turns playing. "I made it possible for everyone to choose the Pokémon that want to control. They were able to play with all 4 Pokémon in the game from the start. This gameplay change was tricky to design." Release information
This card was included as both a Regular card and a Full Art card in the Next Destinies expansion, first released in the Japanese Psycho Drive expansion. The Regular print features artwork by Shizurow, while the Full Art print features artwork by 5ban Graphics. A Jumbo promotional version of the Regular print was released on February 8, 2012 in the Mewtwo Collection. Another promotional print with new artwork by Toyste Beach was included in the Legendary EX Tins released in September 2012.
The Next Destinies Regular print was later reprinted as part of the Japanese Master Deck Build Box EX, released on September 14, 2012. A Jumbo version of the BW Promotional print with slightly altered artwork was released in Japan as an unnumbered BW-P Promotional card as part of the 2013 BEAMS × Pokémon campaign, which began on April 20, 2013. Customers who purchased products from participating BEAMS stores received either this card or a Jumbo Pikachu card for as long as stocks lasted. This print features a foil 'BEAMS' stamp in the bottom right corner of the illustration window, and the BEAMS logo on the bottom left corner of the card. The foil pattern present on the card is also used on several of the Pikachu-themed items available as part of the campaign. A regular version of the BW Promotional print was also released in Japan as an unnumbered BW-P Promotional card and awarded to the top three competitors in each league of the World Challenge Tournament event held over the course of Battle Carnival 2013 Spring. Since there were Four leagues in the Battle Carnival 2013 Spring World Challenge Tournament events and a total of four events held at the Fukuoka International Congress Center, Fukuoka on May 4, 2013; at the Nagoya Trade & Industry Center, Nagoya on May 12, 2013; at Makuhari Messe, Chiba on May 18 and 19, 2013; and at Intex Osaka, Osaka on May 26, 2013, there should be a total of 48 copies of this Mewtwo given out in total. This print features the Battle Carnival 2013 Spring logo in the bottom right corner of the illustration window. The Next Destinies Regular print was reprinted again in the Legendary Treasures expansion, first released in the Japanese EX Battle Boost subset.
The Next Destinies Regular print was rereleased in the Celebrations expansion's Classic Collection for the Pokémon 25th Anniversary. This print features the 25th Anniversary logo in the bottom left corner of the artwork. In Japan, it was reprinted as part of the Promo Card Pack 25th Anniversary Edition with a red and gold "25th" logo in the bottom left corner of the artwork. Both prints are Confetti Holofoil and have etching similar to Full Art cards.
This card's Psycho Drive regular print was also included in the Pokémon Card Game 25th Anniversary Creatures Deck, a commemorative Half Deck given to Creatures, Inc. illustrators and staff members to celebrate the Pokémon 25th Anniversary and the company's 26th. In this deck, this card represents the year 2011 of the company's history, and the back contains information about PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond and Pokémon Battle Chess BW Version. This card has a "25th" stamp next to the illustration, and keeps the original set symbol, rarity, and collection number.

Trivia
- X Ball's damage scaling combined with Mewtwo-EX's Psychic weakness cause Mewtwo-EX to often be the best counter against Mewtwo-EX. Since X Ball only has Colorless Energy in its cost, many decks could include a Mewtwo-EX for this purpose. This interaction is sometimes described as a "Mewtwo War", a term that was later used in the Celebrations official website.[1]
Origin
Psydrive's Japanese name is that of Psycho Drive, the name of the Japanese expansion in which Mewtwo-EX was first released.
