Synopsis

Firstly, this page looks very nice Adyniz, but I would like to suggest an additional section to it. Could you make a section detailing how to make a proper episode synopsis including the correct link templates to use and ect. I feel this can be useful from all of the linking errors I've been fixing. It also may encourage new people to write summaries since they would have a stronger basis for writing them. Thanks in advance. --Pokemaster97 02:52, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

Sure, sounds like a good idea. I'll try to consult the other staff members as well. Also, if you have something in mind i.e a rough draft of that section or anything like that, feel free to mail it to me if you like. ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 14:32, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
I'll see if I can think of a rough draft, but I think you guyss would be better at writing up a formal section with details and whatnot. --Pokemaster97 16:39, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
Oh, it's okay. ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 19:05, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
If you would like a visual of how I kind of pictured the section, I made a rough draft on my sandbox page. You you could check it out that would be good. --Pokemaster97 03:42, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
Looking good, I have added it to MOS. ♫♪ エイディニズ ♪♫ 08:29, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Dub

When an episode is aired dubbed, is there a specific process on how to update the character's and the location's arcticles? Today's Pinot Noir/Richard/Ricard/Ricard Noveau is an example of that. --Abcboy (talk) 04:01, 23 September 2012 (UTC)

We usually go off of closed captions. If they're not revealed, we ask Tom Wayland. Jo the Marten ಠ_ಠ 04:06, 23 September 2012 (UTC)

XY Update

This really needs to be updated for the X&Y series. Serena and Clemont need to added, as does Dedenne. --HoennMaster 18:51, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Added the XY numbering and updated the Anime reference list, that's all that needed to be updated, I think. ☼ BlazingFist ☼ 19:24, 3 April 2014 (UTC)

Evolved Pokémon in the anime

"Pokémon that are later revealed to have evolved should be linked to as the evolutionary level they appeared at in the episode". That's stupid. We're told all the time not to leave redirects and it's simple coding to have both the correct name and link (Phanpy. See? That easy.), but this specific section of a specific type of article is exempt for seemingly no reason at all? Asinine. Either make sense of this discrepancy, remove this rule, or drop the redirect rule altogether. --TheVeryBest 17:27, 24 April 2014 (UTC)

It should be obvious that the rule makes it an exception to the redirect rule.--ForceFire 00:49, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
I know that. So then, anywhere in the wiki, we can link to May's Squirtle, Sewaddle, and Venonat as such? --TheVeryBest 03:19, 25 April 2014 (UTC)
The keyword in the rule is episode.--ForceFire 03:39, 25 April 2014 (UTC)

Question

Shouldn't one of the sentences in "Plot summary" be "All plot summaries should be written in a third person, present tense, neutral point of view."? ?????? 17:32, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Sun/Moon Protags?

Why aren't Lillie, Mallow, Lana, Kiawe, and Sophocles listed when discussing which Pokemon get pages? Nutter Butter (talk) 00:58, 6 July 2020 (UTC)

Thanks for bringing it up. They've been added to the list. AdilTalk page 08:02, 7 July 2020 (UTC)

Goh error

In the "Lists of Pokémon in episode articles" section, Goh's Cinderace is still listed as a Raboot. I couldn't find a way to edit it, so I'd like if someone would do that for me. Champion Averie, signing off! (Need anything?) 01:13, 28 September 2021 (UTC)

Some updates

- Goh's Raboot is still listed here as "should precede all other Pokémon" in the "Lists of Pokémon in episode articles" section of this page, but it has been removed from the "Always at top of list" section of the Reference list since December of last year.

- Rotom Pokédex has the opposite issue; it's been listed in the "Always at top of list" section of the Reference list since June 2017, but still isn't listed on this page.

- There's no mention of Ash's classmates in the "Lists of Pokémon in episode articles" section of this page. PokemonMasterJamal3 (talk) 14:12, 2 June 2022 (UTC)

Liko and Roy

Will Liko and Roy's Pokémon follow the same pattern as the traditional anime protagonists, as we did with Goh in Journeys, or will it be something more similar to the manga protagonists? I'm asking in advance to find out if it's worth going out creating several pages when they capture their Pokémon or is it better to be more cautious with this type of content?

For example, will Liko's Sprigatito get her page as soon as the new anime premieres or should it comply with some rule?--Hikaru Wazana (talk) 00:12, 16 March 2023 (UTC)

Their Pokemon will be treated like Ash's Pokemon as they are the main protagonist, so their Pokemon will follow the first notability requirement. I doubt the new anime will go overboard like they did with Goh, but if it does get to that point, then we'll have that discussion then.--ForceFire 05:00, 16 March 2023 (UTC)
