Black's Reshiram (Japanese: ブラックのレシラム Black's Reshiram) is the light Dragon and Unova's "truth" who is owned by Black and his sixth Pokémon overall.

History

Reshiram in its Light Stone
Black and Reshiram

Prior to the start of the Black & White arc, Reshiram was a single powerful Dragon Pokémon used by twin heroes who created the Unova region. The brothers augured against each others goals, as the older brother pursued truth and the younger brother pursued ideals. In response to this the powerful Dragon Pokémon split into Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem. Reshiram followed the older brother while Zekrom followed the younger brother. Sometime after that Reshiram transformed into the Light Stone. The Light Stone and Dark Stone were later found by Clay and given to Lenora for her museum. Only the discovery of the Dark Stone was made public.

Reshiram first appeared in Finding Truth, sealed inside the Light Stone inside of the Nacrene Gym's basement, alongside Zekrom's Dark Stone. After Black opened the entrance to the basement to move the stones to a safe location the Dark Stone was stolen by the Shadow Triad. Brycen later finds an unconscious Black and unlocks the safe containing the Light Stone. The Light Stone then rolls to Black, choosing him as its Hero of Truth. Black and the Light Stone are then taken by Brycen to safety.

In The Cold Hard Truth, Brycen asks Black to revive Reshiram in order to battle against Team Plasma, which Black accepts and takes the Light Stone. Despite his attempts Black was unable to revive him, but was fine waiting for Reshiram to come out when it's ready.

In Will the Truth Come Out? Black discovers N battling Alder. Sensing Zekrom, Reshiram revives itself from the Light Stone and charges towards the Deep Black Pokémon. Zekrom then roars at Reshiram and it retreats back into the Light Stone, deciding to wait to battle Zekrom until Black understands his 'truth'.

In True Friends, Black becomes enraged at Team Plasma for manipulating Cheren and revives Reshiram from the Light Stone in order to fight them. Reshiram soon senses Zekrom and immediately rushes away from Black to fight its counterpart. Black soon catches up to Reshiram with Brav and begins their battle between truth and ideal against N and Zekrom. Reshiram begins the battle with a powerful kick against Zekrom followed by a immense breath of flames. Despite this, Zekrom was unfazed and retaliates with an energy pulse. Zekrom then attacks with a Fusion Bolt, striking Reshiram with electricity. After attacking with another Fusion Bolt, Reshiram quickly retaliates with a Fusion Flare, doing double damage. After trading blows both Pokémon reach the end of their limit. Black then sees two Zekroms, momentarily confusing him. Quickly figuring out that one of them is Zorua disguising itself, Black has Reshiram finish the battle with Dragon Pulse. After the battle, Reshiram starts to revert back into the Light Stone since its counterpart has left. During the process, Ghetsis uses Colress's Beheeyem to throw Black into Reshiram, absorbing him into the Light Stone. When White attempts to pick up the Light Stone it flies away.

Personality and characteristics

Reshiram is a powerful Pokémon, easily competing with other Legendary Pokémon. Black was quickly overwhelmed by Reshiram's power, feeling as though his mind and body were being crushed by its presence. Reshiram has a close relationship with its Trainer, choosing Black as its Hero of Truth. Black was also able to quickly connect his heart to Reshiram during their battle against N and Zekrom.

N's Zekrom (Japanese: のゼクロム N's Zekrom) is the dark Dragon and Unova's "ideals" who joined N in his goal to liberate all Pokémon.

History

Zekrom in its Dark Stone

Prior to the start of the Black & White arc, Zekrom was a single powerful Dragon Pokémon used by twin heroes who created the Unova region. The brothers augured against each others goals, as the older brother pursued truth and the younger brother pursued ideals. In response to this the powerful Dragon Pokémon split into Reshiram, Zekrom, and Kyurem. Zekrom followed the younger brother while Reshiram followed the older brother. Sometime after that Zekrom transformed into the Dark Stone. The Dark Stone and Light Stone were later found by Clay and given to Lenora for her museum. Only the discovery of the Dark Stone was made public.

Zekrom first appeared in Finding Truth, sealed inside the Dark Stone inside of the Nacrene Gym's basement, alongside Reshiram's Light Stone. After Black opened the entrance to the basement to move the stones to a safe location the Dark Stone was stolen by the Shadow Triad. Ghetsis then delivered the Dark Stone to N, who had long waited for the Dragon of ideals. N immediately revives Zekrom to its original form and asks it to share with him the ideal of the liberation of all Pokémon.

In The Cold Hard Truth, N attempts to become partners with Zekrom. Instead of ordering Zekrom to do as he wishes N attempts to become friends with Zekrom and convince it to join his cause in liberating all Pokémon. Zekrom eventually agrees to join with N and chooses N as its Hero of Ideals.

Zekrom is later used to fight against Alder, landing a powerful blow on Alder and his team. When Black appears with the Light Stone, Reshiram revives itself from the Light Stone and charges towards Zekrom. Zekrom then roars at the Vast White Pokémon and Reshiram retreats back into the Light Stone.

In Triple Threat, N and Zekrom begin their battle between truth and ideal against Black and Reshiram. Reshiram begins the battle with a powerful kick against Zekrom followed by a immense breath of flames. Despite this, Zekrom was unfazed and retaliates with an energy pulse. Zekrom is then assaulted by a combination attack from Looker's Croagunk, Cedric Juniper's Samurott, and Leo's Deino. Zekrom easily blocks the attack and forces the Pokémon back. The Deep Black Pokémon then attacks with a Fusion Bolt, striking Reshiram with electricity. After the battle, N learns the error of his ways and says goodbye to Black and White, flying away on Zekrom.

Personality and characteristics

Zekrom is a powerful Pokémon, easily competing with other Legendary Pokémon. Black was quickly overwhelmed by Zekrom's power, feeling as though his mind and body were being crushed by its presence. Zekrom has a close relationship with N, choosing N to be his Hero of Ideals. N was also able to quickly connect with Zekrom because of his ideals.

Zinzolin's Kyurem (Japanese: ヴィオのキュレム Vio's Kyurem) is the third Dragon Pokémon from the original Dragon who is owned by Zinzolin.

History

Prior to the start of the Black & White arc, Kyurem was a single powerful Dragon Pokémon used by twin heroes who created the Unova region. The brothers augured against each others goals, as the older brother pursued truth and the younger brother pursued ideals. In response to this the powerful Dragon Pokémon split into Reshiram and Zekrom. During this process the elements that were left over became Kyurem. Kyurem resembles an empty shell, being able to complete the other two Dragons.

Two years prior to the start of the Black 2 & White 2 arc, Kyurem was captured by Zinzolin at the Giant Chasm. Kyurem first appears in PS536, appearing before Zinzolin and Colress in the Cold Storage. Colress is quickly impressed by the Boundary Pokémon and demands that Zinzolin gives him Kyurem. Zinzolin refuses and has Kyurem attack Colress.

Personality and characteristics

Kyurem is a powerful Pokémon, able to keep the Cold Storage at freezing temperatures with just its presence. Kyurem is described by Zinzolin as an empty shell, that is not marred by truth and ideals.
