Somewhere on Southern Island, she and Latios hear the melody of the Eon Flute, thinking that it's Emerald, however Latios sees that its someone else. She is greeted while she is in her human disguise, she recognizes him as Ruby. He's glad that she remembers him and starts to get curious, feeling her feathers that can bend light to change her appearance. She starts feeling tickled and asks Ruby to stop, which he complies. She is told by Latios to not let her guard down, she reminds him that he's one of Emerald's friends that helped him during the Battle Frontier with them.
