Japanese voice actor Ryoko Shiraishi
Description This Ground-type specialist is the first of the Paldea region’s Elite Four that challengers face. There is a considerable gap between her persona when she interviews challengers and her usual personality.

Rika (Japanese: チリ Chili) is a Pokémon Trainer in Pokémon Masters EX, based on the character of the same name in the core series games. She forms a sync pair with Clodsire. This pair can be obtained through a Poké Fair sync pair scout beginning on April 26, 2024. This pair can be raised to Masters EX star.png 6★ EX since it first released.

Rika also forms a sync pair with Whiscash. This pair can be obtained by reaching Friendship Level 100 with Rika in the Trainer Lodge beginning on May 1, 2024. This pair can be raised to Masters EX star.png 6★ EX since it first released, though this pair lacks an EX style.

Clodsire

Raising this sync pair to 6★ EX will unlock Song Key 09006, which allows "Battle! (Paldea Elite Four: Rika) (Pokémon Masters EX Version)" to be played in the Jukebox.

Trivia

  • All versions of Rika use special voice-over lines upon entering a team that contains certain Trainers (regardless of their partner Pokémon) and victory with them. Those Trainers include Geeta.

Origin

Rika's design is based on her appearance in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Clodsire is Rika's signature Pokémon in the core series games. Clodsire's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Scarlet.

Whiscash is another Pokémon Rika uses in the core series games. Whiscash's Dex entry comes from Pokémon Ultra Sun.
