Pressure (Japanese: プレッシャー Pressure) is an ability introduced in Generation III that doubles the foe's PP usage for every successful hit. The ability works even if the Pokémon is immune to the attack's type (such as Earthquake against a Flying Pokémon). Twenty Pokémon have this ability, a majority of them legendary. Outside of battle, if the Pokémon with Pressure is leading, then Pressure increase the chance of battling a higher-leveled wild Pokémon by 50% (see also Hustle and Vital Spirit).
As of Generation IV, one is alerted to the presence of Pressure by the message "<name> is exerting its Pressure!"
