Poochyena (Japanese: ポチエナ Pochiena, German: Fiffyen, French: Medhyena, Korean: ???) is a Dark-type Pokémon found early in the Ruby, Sapphire, and Emerald versions. In Ruby and Sapphire, you must choose a Treecko, Torchic, or Mudkip to stop one of these Pokémon from chasing Professor Birch.

Poochyena comes with the ability Run Away, which guarantees that you can always run from a wild Pokémon as long it does not have an ability or use a move that prevents escaping.

Poochyena evolves via level into Mightyena starting at Level 18.
