Pokémon Showcase
A Pokémon Showcase (Japanese: トライポカロン TriPokalon) is an anime-exclusive, girls-only competition held in the Kalos region. Trainers participating in them are called Pokémon Performers.
Competition
Pokémon Showcases are performance tournaments that take place in various towns through Kalos. They are divided in two sections. The first is called the Theme Performance and can encompass activities such as making Poké Puffs, grooming Pokémon, or performing with props. The activities per Theme Performance depend on the specific Showcase tournament. The second section is called the Free Performance, which is the same in each Pokémon Showcase. The Pokémon Performer and their Pokémon perform together on stage, making full use of the Pokémon's capabilities. It is similar to the Performance Stage of a Pokémon Contest.
There are several classes in Pokémon Showcase tournaments, with the lowest being Rookie Class and the highest being Master Class. In A Showcase Debut!, it was implied that Pokémon Showcases used to be judged by at least one professional judge. However, after Aria became Kalos Queen, a famous judge called Palermo quit. In the present day, both the Theme Performance and Free Performance rounds are judged by the audience. Each contestant gets a special key used to receive votes from the audience. Each person in the audience can bring out one vote on a special voting device. The voting device sends out lights that connect to the keys of the participants. The participant with the key that absorbed the most lights is decided the winner. The winner of a Pokémon Showcase receives a Princess Key. An exception to this voting system was shown in XY079, where a professional set of judges evaluated Poké Puffs made by participants in the Theme Performance.

Pokémon Performer
A Pokémon Performer (Japanese: ポケモンパフォーマー Pokémon Performer) is a female Trainer who raises Pokémon to compete in Pokémon Showcases, where they demonstrate their partnership and how well coordinated they are together with their performance. A Performer must keep in mind of their Pokémon's capabilities and skills to use to their advantage, quite similar to what a Pokémon Coordinator does.
Pokémon Performers who win a Pokémon Showcase are awarded with a Princess Key, and once a Performer has at least three Keys, one from each class, they can enter the Master Class tournament, where they compete for the title of Kalos Queen. The current Kalos Queen is Aria, who managed to win the Master Class tournament with her Braixen.

Princess Keys
Princess keys are obtained from Monsieur Pierre after a Performer has won a showcase as proof that they had won, similar to how a ribbon is given to a coordinator or how a badge is given to a gym battler. After winning their first showcase, they are given a keyring instead of a case like badges and ribbons have, and clip them on to hold it. A total of three keys must be won to enter the master class, and three more from there for the title of the Kalos queen. They come in various styles and stone colors while the key itself is golden.
