Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky is a future game in development by Chunsoft, and the third entry in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. The game was announced in CoroCoro, which released the first details in January 2009.

Revelation

On January 10th, 2009, Serebii.net received the first details from CoroCoro, revealing that the featured starter Pokémon would include Pokémon new to the series along with starters from previous installments. These include the following: Phanpy, Eevee, Riolu, Shinx, and Vulpix. Every starter Pokémon from the previous games can now be a partner as well, bringing the total of starting Pokémon to 21, only 19 of which are available to the player, since Meowth and Munchlax can only be selected as partners. On January 11th, 2009, according to Serebii, low resolution pictures of the game were found, confirming the information to be true.
