Trivia
- This is the first Gym to have two different Gym Leaders between the initial two versions, and the second Gym to have two different Gym Leaders in the same generation (the first being the eighth Gym of Hoenn, Sootopolis Gym).
- Iris and Shaga's teams are identical except for their genders and the ability of their Crimgan; Iris's Pokémon are all female and Shaga's are all male, while Iris's Crimigan has Sheer Force and Shaga's Crimigan has Rough Skin.
