Lick (Japanese: したでなめる Tongue Lick) is a Ghost-type move introduced in Generation I that deals very little damage.

Effect

Generation I

Lick does damage and has a 29.7% chance of paralyzing its opponent.

Lick can't paralyze an opponent that has a Substitute or already has a major status ailment.

Generation II

Same as before, but with a 30% chance of paralysis instead.

Gastly. Gastly extends its tongue to an incredible length and strikes the opponent with it.

Haunter. Haunter extends its tongue and licks the opponent.

Lickitung. Lickitung licks the opponent with its long tongue, usually causing paralysis.

Kecleon. Kecleon extends its long tongue and licks the opponent.

Lickilicky. Lickilicky sticks out its long tongue and licks the opponent.
