The Kitakami Ogre Clan (Japanese: キタカミ鬼面衆 Kitakami Demon Clan) is a type of Pokémon Trainer class introduced The Teal Mask in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. They are eight trainers found across Kitakami that wear a Teal Mask and are significantly more challenging compared to other Trainer classes in the game.

Kitakami Ogre Clan members are 8 trainers that specialize in a type or a specific battle style. As the name suggests, members are exclusively found in Kitakami. Players will need to defeat 7 members to be able to challenge the 8th member, Muramasa, the secret master of the Kitakami Ogre Clan.

Initially, Muramasa can be found in front of the gate to Kitakami Hall at any time, and he will reward the Player for each member defeated with items commonly used for competitive battling. The first 7 will have 4 Pokémon each, two of which will have a held item. Muramasa, who will reveal himself to be the eighth Trainer, will battle the Player with a team of 5, three of which will have a held item; thus rewarding the Player with the last eighth reward.

Rewards

Regardless of which Clan member is defeated first, Muramasa's reward order remains the same, ensuring that each step towards victory is acknowledged and rewarded accordingly, meaning that whoever is defeated first, the Player will get the same reward for defeating one trainer.

Number defeated Reward
One defeated Focus Sash
Two defeated Exp. Candy XL x5
Three defeated Assault Vest
Four defeated Rare Candy x10
Five defeated Choice Specs
Six defeated Ability Capsule x3
Seven defeated Choice Band
Defeating Muramasa (8) Ability Patch

Trainers

All Clan Trainers keep their Pokémon in Ultra Balls.
