Hazel (Japanese: マロン Marron) is the main character of the manga series Magical Pokémon Journey. She is on a quest to capture Pokémon for Grandpa so that he will make her a love potion to give to Almond, who she has a crush on.

She is an energetic, caring girl who makes friends with Pokémon easily. Though she has not actually captured any Pokémon yet, she has befriended three Pokémon which travel with her - Pikachu, Clefairy, and a Jigglypuff. She likes to help others, such as in Even an Arbok Falls in Love!, where she leads the others in helping Arbok get together with Wigglytuff.

Hazel is determined to get together with Almond, and competes with Coconut for his affection. While Almond seems indifferent to her feelings, Hazel continues to pursue him, often traveling with or following him. She is constantly trying to win him over, giving him many gifts such as chocolates in Eevee... Pokémon Genius! and a Valentine's Day heart in Valentine Heartbeats.

Her family is never shown in the manga (Grandpa is actually Coconut's grandfather, not Hazel's), however, she does mention her parents in Excitement at the Hot Springs?!. She also mentions an unnamed cousin in the same chapter.

Hazel owns a magical suit made by Grandpa which protects her from all sorts of harm, from electric shock to drowning.

Hazel does not appear in Pokémon Chamo-Chamo ☆ Pretty ♪, the sequel to Magical Pokémon Journey set in the same world, though some of the Pokémon she has befriended do appear as returning characters.
