A drink is a type of item from the Pokémon games. Most can be used during or out of battle to restore a Pokémon's HP. It is usually a cheap alternative to Potions.

Drinks are found in a variety of special places. The main three, Fresh Water, Soda Pop, and Lemonade, can be bought from vending machines atop the Celadon Department Store, Goldenrod Department Store, Lilycove Department Store, and Veilstone Department Store, as well as the vending machines in The Under (Pokémon Colosseum only) and Pyrite Town (Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness only), and on Two Island after certain requirements are met.

Types of drink

File:FreshWaterSprite.png Fresh Water

A refreshing drink which restores 50 HP. Costs $200, and can be found at all vending machines and at the store on Two Island.

Atop the Celadon Department Store, there is a thirsty girl who will give away a TM in exchange for a drink from the vending machines. In Generation I, she will give away a TM13 (Ice Beam) for a Fresh Water, and in Generation III, she will give a TM16 (Light Screen).

File:SodaPopSprite.png Soda Pop

A fizzy drink which restores 60 HP. Costs $300, and can be found at all vending machines, on Two Island after rescuing Lostelle on Three Island, and at the Seashore House south of Slateport City.

Atop the Celadon Department Store, there is a thirsty girl who will give out a TM in exchange for a drink from the vending machines. In Generation I, she will give a TM48 (Rock Slide) for a Soda Pop, and in Generation III, she will give a TM20 (Safeguard).

A sweet drink which restores 80 HP. Costs $350, and can be found at all vending machines, on Two Island after acquiring the National Pokédex, and at the Mt. Moon souvenir shop in Generation II.

Atop the Celadon Department Store, there is a thirsty girl who will give away a TM in exchange for a drink from the vending machines. In Generation I, she will give TM49 (Tri Attack) for a Lemonade, and in Generation III, she will give TM33 (Reflect).

On Five Island, at the Memorial Pillar, a trainer can be found mourning his deceased Onix, who loved Lemonade. If the player sets one on the memorial to honor the Onix, its owner will reward him or her with TM42 (Facade).

A nutritious drink which restores up to 100 HP. It costs $500, and can be bought at the MooMoo Farm on Route 39 (Generation II), on Two Island after acquiring the National Pokédex, in the vending machine in Pyrite Town in Pokémon XD (Generation III), and in the Café Cabin on Route 210 (Generation IV). In Generation II, wild Miltank sometimes hold MooMoo Milk, and in Emerald Version, it is sometimes held by Miltank found in the Safari Zone.

File:TeaSprite.png Tea

A hot drink which is good for quenching thirst. In the Generation I games, a Fresh Water, Soda Pop, or Lemonade has to be given to the thirsty guards who will not allow the main character to enter Saffron City. However, in Generation III, the guards must drink this key item instead. It can be found in the Celadon Mansion in Celadon City. This was possibly done to prevent entering Saffron too early because Pokémon were now able to hold items, unlike in Pokémon Red, Blue, and Yellow, allowing someone with another FireRed or LeafGreen game to trade a Pokémon holding one of the three other drinks to a player who had not yet reached the point in the game that they were supposed to.

Ginseng

Ginseng is an item in the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series. It is a drink that boosts the power of whatever move the user currently has as its set move. This effect works only for the team leader and won't affect certain kinds of moves. It also slightly fills the user's belly.
