Drill Run (Japanese: ドリルライナー Drill Liner) is a damage-dealing Template:Type2 move introduced in Generation V.

Effect

Drill Run deals damage and has an increased critical hit ratio.

Doryuzu Excadrill positions its arms and head so that the metal parts form a drill. It then rotates its body at high speed and strikes the opponent.

Trivia

  • Fearow is the only non-Template:Type2 to learn Drill Run.
    • Therefore, Fearow is also the only Pokémon that doesn't receive STAB on Drill Run.
  • Drilbur is the only Pokémon able to learn Drill Run that isn't dual type.
  • No Pokémon from Generation III can learn Drill Run, with Smeargle's Sketch being the only reason this doesn't also apply to Generation II.
