A Collector (Japanese: ポケモンコレクター Pokémon Collector) is a type of Pokémon Trainer that first debuted in the Generation III games. They are generally depicted as nerdy young men carrying many Poké Balls. The Gen IV Collector sprite looks similar to the Super Nerd class in HeartGold and SoulSilver.

In Generation III, they use version-exclusive Pokémon. In Diamond and Pearl, they use three Pokémon of the same species, while in Platinum they use rare Pokémon such as Togetic or Feebas. They often talk about how they wish to catch rare Pokémon.

In Generation I, one of Bill's titles was the Collector.
