Bertha (Japanese: キクノ Kikuno) is a master Ground-type trainer. Fans believe that Bertha may be related to Agatha, another elderly woman who looks similar, has a similar name and has exactly the same hairstyle. Also their names, both in English and Japanese, sound similar.

In Pokémon Diamond and Pearl, Bertha is the second member of the Sinnoh Elite Four.
