Long time no see!

As you guys have probably noticed, my activity here on the Pedia side has been kinda low for some time. There are a few reasons for this, but I'm not going to explain them here. Just wanted to say I'm not dead (and you probably noticed that, if you visited thd the forums side during the last few months). For a month, one reason has been that I bought myself two months of game time for City of Heroes late December. :p

In December, I made a skin for the Bulbagarden's skin contest and won. Thus, an elusive American SoulSilver will be sent to me in March, and will probably arrive a few days earlier than what the European release date is. Plus, I think they haven't removed the Game Corner from the American version, so no more disappointment from missing coin games. Also, you can see me answering your shop thread requests in the shop section of the forums, since I got the status of a moderator there.

What I'm currently doing in BP?

  • While playing HG on an emulator, I'm adding Trainer, Pokémon and Items data on location pages, based on my own research. I'll also add game locations and Pokédex entries (if they are missing) to the Pokémon pages. Will also take static screenshots for locations and moves without Gen IV images (I prefer animated ones, thus I won't change them away, even if they were from RSEFRLG).
  • I have downloaded the Colosseum ROM. I can now provide better pics for many Col trainers and locations (would be cool if I could also provide those hi-res menu images for all Pokémon).
  • I'm honing my skills of moving and deleting images with my new user rights.

I, UltimateSephiroth, am a 18-year-old male student from Finland. I go to a upper secondary school and my matriculation exams began this fall. I spend a lot of my time at the computer, though (for obvious reasons) I've began playing again with DS as well.

I'm a member of a slew of different online communities besides Bulbapedia. In most of these I use the nickname UltimateSephiroth, though if this name is already in use or there is a name length limit, UltimateSephiroth91, USephiroth and USephiroth91 are possible names as well.

Activity in Bulbapedia

I've been a member of Bulbapedia since June 2, 2007. During the time I've been here I've made over 4,000 edits of which exactly 3,333 (at 1st Oct 2009) are in the Main namespace while about 250 are in User namespace and about 600 are in Talk and User talk combined. Many of these edits are minor changes.

To this date, I was at my most active state in late 2008. Then I had a long break, but now I've returned.

I have been awarded with these honorable awards during my active time:

  • Silver Bulbasaur Award:

I'm also a member of certain Bulbapedia Projects, namely the Anime, Routes, Custom Sprite and Globe ones. I've also been the leader of Project SpriteDex since November 11, 2009.

On October 4, 2009, I was promoted to the position of an administrator in Bulbagarden Archives.

These are my most notable edits in my opinion.

  • Listed all episodes with incomplete or missing synopses.
  • All Pokémon Gold sprites updated to be transparent. (at Archives)
  • All Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire sprites uploaded or added transparency and/or resized to 64x64. (at Archives)
  • All Pokémon Yellow sprites flipped and resized to 56x56. (at Archives)
  • The List of items by name article (though it's still incomplete).
  • Expanding many articles of things related to Template:Card GB 2.
  • Helping with number redirect pages.
  • Adding HGSS trainer, entry and location information. Still under work.

Activity in other places

I'm an administrator of a Finnish Game Maker forum, Game Maker Suomi, in which I joined as an active member in spring 2007. I'm currently not active there since I think that community isn't very nice anymore.

I'm also a player of the MMORPG City of Heroes, and my subscription is active until 20th Feb. My global chat handle is @UltimateSephiroth and my main character is a level 45 Mutation Tanker called UltimateSephiroth (you couldn't guess that). Other characters are (for now) VillainousSephiroth, a level 10 Brute, and SparkStriker, a level 2 Scrapper.
